About Us
Nikki left her young family and flew to Sydney to complete her teacher training certificate in children’s yoga and upon returning the sisters began holding classes in their local community centre. Beginning with the positive feedback from the parents, to the clearly happier and more engaged children, not to mention their enthusiasm the sisters were inspired to make their project official, and Little Warriors Yoga was born.
Nikki, a qualified yoga teacher for adults since 2007, complete her Zenergy Yoga teacher training certificate for children in September 2016. To further her training in children’s yoga she then completed the Advanced course in February 2017 followed a Yoga Therapy for children certificate in May 2017. Nikki designs all of the classes for Little Warriors herself, drawing on her training, practical experience in the yoga room with kids and ideas gathered from a community of yoga teachers.
Hayley attends many of Nikki’s classes and helps demonstrate postures for the children, allowing Nikki time to assists the kids. Hayley brings years of business experience to the table including the involvement in a number of start-up enterprises.
Yoga is not the only passion that the sister’s share. In 2009 they co-founded environmental non-profit, Sustainable Table; and today they work together on their family’s philanthropic foundation, The Morris Family Foundation.
Yoga also led Nikki to receive requests to share the benefits of meditation and mindfulness to adults also. Her personal meditation practice was already central to Nikki’s own personal well being that she chose to complete her meditation teacher training with Melbourne Meditation Centre. From there Union Path was born, a school for meditation, mindfulness, breathing and yoga focusing on adults in addition to kids. Nikki teaches corporates and individuals the keys to enjoy a life of balance and resilience. Nikki loves sharing techniques, information and enticing others to give meditation and mindfulness a chance also.
